Monoi de Tahiti is a beautiful and naturally perfumed oil which has been traditionally used by Tahitian women to protect their skin and hair. It is obtained by gently soaking the Tahitian plant Gardenia Tihensis into rich liquid virgin coconut oil (cocus nucifera). It is easily and quickly absorbed by the skin, and is a superbly effective moisturiser with a wonderful exotic aroma, especially good for using after you've been in the sun as it will moisturise and leave your skin glossy and aromatic!
It is a unique characteristic that Monoi de Tahiti is solid at 17c but becomes liquid at 24c, so take care when opening the jar in warm weather. It also benefits from coconut oil properties.
Genuine Monoi de Tahiti is protected worldwide by an Appellation d'Origine (Guarantee of Origin) designation, which proves its authenticity. Many of the therapists we supply have found it a wonderful alternative to massage oils for Indian Head massage.
